We change things up this week as we take a look at the character of the Phantom of the Opera through various different adaptations and decide if he is in fact an Icon? From the author of the original story Gaston Leroux, the introduction of the character to cinema in the Universal horror movies, the first stage musical adaptation by Ken Hill, the more well known Andrew Lloyd Webber interpretation with Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford, the adaption of the Webber musical directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Gerrard Butler and Minnie Driver, and to the failed sequel that nobody asked for Love Never Dies.
