Good morning. It’s Friday, June 28th. Philadelphia’s Hahnemann [HAN-UH-min] University Hospital announced that it was closing on Wednesday. On Thursday, the state said not so fast. State officials ruled that the hospital must first put a plan in place to guarantee the safety of patients who are reliant on the care Hahnemann provides. State Secretary of Health Rachel Levine said an immediate closure may cause irreparable harm for patients.
