Good morning. It’s Tuesday, August 6th. Wawa will pay $1.4 million to settle a class-action lawsuit about overtime and wages. A group of more than 300 assistant general managers said they weren’t paid overtime when they worked more than 40 hours a week, as required by federal and state law. One plaintiff from Morrisville claimed he worked 55- to 60-hour weeks without any overtime. Wawa denied any wrongdoing in court filings, saying the employees were exempt from getting extra pay.
