Good morning. It’s Friday, September 27th Philadelphia City Council passed legislation to protect the city’s children from being exposed to lead in rental housing. The lead safety bill was approved in a sixteen-to-nothing vote Thursday. Its passage follows an 18-month battle between landlords and child safety advocates. The new bill will require landlords to test all rental housing for lead every four years.
