In this episode, Nienke take a deep dive into the anatomy of Hope and Dis-appointment. What is the difference between passive and active hope?
Due to a life event, disappointment tried to take over her feelings and actions. So it was time to take a look and open the disappointment toolbox to get out of overwhelm.
Can you afford to spend your time in overwhelm mode? What does that cost you? Or do you passively 'hope' you get out of it anyhow?
In this podcast, you get the three-step practice to stay out of pity city and act differently.
We are all responsible for how we show up in the world, to others, ánd to ourselves. With Phoenix Frequencies, Nienke van Bezooijen shines her light on what we can do to be the best versions of ourselves based on how we show up and what we are willing to learn. It isn't about showing the way with pretended positivity, it is the heart-based vulnerability-sharing options. It takes courage to rise. See what is for you. Or share with others. Perfect doesn't exist; curiosity can be the stepping stone to broaden your perspectives.
Courage to move on from the past,

Last week I travelled to Ireland. I instantly felt at home.
Ever wonder what it actually means to feel "at home"?
In this episode of The Phoenix Frequencies, I’m exploring home not just as a physical place, but as a state of being we carry inside us. From the unexpected connections in Ireland and untangling inner emotional luggage to the deeper somatic work of rebuilding safety after trauma and burnout. This conversation is about finding your true frequency, "travelling light", and coming back to yourself.
Listen in, drop the heavy expectations, and welcome home.

What happens when physical hearing fades, but your capacity to listen deepens?
In this episode of The Phoenix Frequencies, I share a deeply personal milestone: stepping back into the audiology testing room after becoming deaf following surgery in 2020. What started as a physiological challenge to optimise neuroplasticity led to an unexpected breakthrough—and the exciting prospect of a bone-conduction device (BCD).
But this journey goes far beyond technology. Through years of silence, I discovered that hearing is only half the story. Most people who are capable of hearing have lost the true capacity to listen, often trapped by past experiences or drowned out by a loud inner voice acting as a protective shield.
True listening requires moving past old triggers and tuning into the neutral heart.

Stop Fixing, Start Facilitating
Seven years ago today, Nienke had her first brain tumour surgery. The anaesthetics failed, the tumour couldn't be fully removed — and yet the disruption she'd been living with seemed to resolve anyway.
In this episode of Phoenix Frequencies, she explores why: the difference between fixing (forcing a result, chasing credit, suppressing the signal) and facilitating (partnering with discomfort so real healing can unfold on its own terms and sustain).
She takes that same lens into business. We reach for another change-management tool, another consultant, another quick fix — and the KPIs might look better on the outside, while the engine underneath stays uncured. Absenteeism, disengagement, friction: these aren't problems to fix. They're signals asking for a different relationship to create a different outcome.
Before your next intervention, ask yourself: am I trying to fix this, or trying to transform it through facilitation instead?

When the Heat Is On: Navigating Crisis Through True Care and Instinct
What happens when the heat is on in your life, your career, or your business? When unexpected crises strike- physically, emotionally, or in business- KPIs fall short, and stakeholders start to complain? Do you get trapped by panic?
In this episode, Nienke explores how we respond under extreme pressure. Using a powerful metaphor inspired by a nature reserve in Spain during severe wildfires, this episode examines the profound difference between overcare (acting from fear, force, and agenda) and true care (acting from neutrality, intuition, and deep instinct).
Key Takeaways are:
Are you ready to pause, step out of the panic, and find the frequency of true resilience through care and neutrality?

Our nervous systems are hardwired to seek comfort, safety, and predictability. But what happens when the "inconvenient truth" shatters our carefully built routines? Often, our default is to retreat into denial, blame, or fight-or-flight, freeze-or-fawn mode.
What if we shifted from reaction to creation?
In this episode, I explore how stepping out of our comfort zone isn't a threat—it’s the ultimate portal to resilience, personal growth, and redesigning our lives from the inside out.
How moving past the illusion of safety and embracing the unpredictable helps you create a new baseline of what feels 'good to you '. Because you train your nervous system differently than survival of victimhood.
Are you a controller from fear or a conductor of possibilities?
Choosing to step into your power as the conscious creator of your own life.
Whether you're navigating a major life shift, dealing with uncertainty, or simply looking to live more authentically in the present moment, this episode is an invitation to rise.

Moving from the 'Controller' to the 'Conductor': Embracing the Indigo Perspective.
Have you ever noticed what happens to your focus when pressure mounts? We instantly snap into a sharp, analytical tunnel vision. While useful for deadlines, this high-stress state shuts down our deepest asset: our intuition.
In the latest episode of The Phoenix Frequencies Podcast, we explore a different way of navigating complex environments—The Indigo Perspective.
Indigo is a threshold frequency. It lives right between the tangible, rational world and the deeper, invisible layers of consciousness. It is the shift from a hyper-focused mind to a 'soft focus,' allowing us to view things from the inside out.
When we consciously soften our gaze and quiet the inner noise, something beautiful happens within our nervous system:
Deliberately, at the summer solstice, this episode is a personal reflection on grounding, stabilisation, and the creation of a new foundation for leadership through collaboration and deep listening.
It takes: ✨ Courage to move on from the past, ✨ Trust to be fully present, ✨ The willingness to Rise to create a new future.

"Courage to move from the past. Trust to be with the present. Rise to create a new future."
These are the words at the heart of everything I do here — and today, they couldn't feel more alive.
This episode is recorded on Pentecost — a day of purifying fire, of breath, of new beginnings. A day that, centuries ago, was explained to the ancient world through the image of the phoenix: rising, immortal, a sudden miraculous beginning of a new cycle, a new life. Breaking free from earthly limitations to fulfil a higher purpose. Another frequency to embody.
Today, I announce the closing of one chapter. Presentation Master. Performance.
And created from within: the official founding of Phoenix Mastery BV /Ltd. The love is too deep. It can't be ignored any longer.
It's time to walk the talk, also in business.
What do you love so much that you could move mountains to create that path?
Because rising isn't about courage. It's about love. The love for life itself — your inner fire, with wind beneath your wings.
This is Phoenixing. Not just a concept. A verb. An active choice you make from within.
Welcome to Rise.

Individual Intention to Collective Coherence: Are you ready for the "Point of No Return"?
We all know the drill: the goals we set at the start of the year. But is your intention merely a "quick fix" because you want to escape something, or are you choosing a fundamental transformation?
Transformation is like a boiled egg: it cannot go back to its original state. It is new. It is Phoenixed.
In the latest episode of The Phoenix Frequencies, I share how my personal intention—focused on connection and co-creation—became a reality within just six weeks. Not by working harder, but by acting from a place of inner coherence. This shift led me directly to the co-founders of the Field Intelligence Tribe (FIT).
Starting over with all I bring from my previous life. As an experience-based professional, I see the urgent need for organisations to become truly "FIT." No longer by simply trying to fix what is broken, but by feeding the Field with a new way of listening and the moral courage to lead differently.
That's how an individual intention can transform the world for many into a new paradigm. Are you ready? Check it out at the website of F.I.T. The Field Intelligence Tribe

What do you do when the leadership style that made you successful for 25 years suddenly stops working? Drahomira Mandiková shares her phoenix moment in leadership. A big shift creates an impact in the workplace and is reflected in our personal behaviours as well.
That is the Phoenix lesson she brings in this episode: “Sometimes growth is not about adding skills. It’s about letting an old version of yourself burn - so a more adaptable leader can rise.
And today, I know that leadership is not universal. And the most powerful leaders are those willing to be reborn”.
About Drahomira:
Drahomira Mandiková is the Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Asahi Group Holding, based in Tokyo. Her career in the beer industry began 26 years ago in Slovakia, her home country, and has since spanned roles at the company’s European headquarters, in India, and now in Japan. Her work is driven by a purpose to navigate a shifting business environment by broadening the conversation from short‑term profitability to long‑term sustainability. She brings a global perspective to how companies can remain successful and bring positive impact. In her current role, Drahomira is closely involved in facilitating the transformation of a Japanese company into a truly global organisation—bridging cultures, aligning leadership across regions, and supporting change at the enterprise level. She is known as a connector who brings people together around shared purpose and impact.
Drahomíra Mandíková, a senior global sustainability executive, is one of the leaders recognised in Sustainability Magazine’s Top 250 Women in Sustainability (2026) list, ranked 68. You can see the full report here, and a link to the ‘Out Now’ post is here.
