One of the great benefits of Jesus being human is that we can have icons and statues and other things be part of our worship. This is due to the fact that Christ is the "express image" of God (Hebrews 1:3) and as he said to Phillip, "If you have seen me you have seen the Father" (John 14:9).

This reality of the Incarnation is a game-changer in how we can worship and develop our relationship with God.
