When most people think about Arizona, they think of desert heat. However, the state’s temperatures and terrain vary as you travel north or south, primarily due to higher elevations. One of my favorite retreats, sitting at 8400 feet and arguably the highest town in the state, is Greer, Arizona. Hikers, birders, fisherpeople, and all lovers of nature will find paradise in Greer.
