As we celebrate Telecommunicators Week 2023, I dive into how a 911 specialist is the ultimate crisis communicator.  Just think about it, dispatchers are often times processing two different conversations in their headsets at the same time.  They are not only listening to a 911 caller frantically asking for help, they are talking to police, fire and EMS responding apparatus at the same time.  We can all learn a from our 911 specialists.  I encourage every PIO to visit their 911 center and meet the men and women behind the scenes answering the call.
