These cars are not new, and likely the tires on them will be a few years old as well. Search for the 4 digit code on the tires such as "2315", meaning the tire was made in the 23rd week of 2015. If the tires are more than 5 years old, they should be changed. A new set of 195/55 R16 tires (factory size for the gen2 Prius in Europe) can be costly ($400-$700) due to its rare size. If they should be changed, you could negotiate a new set of tires or ask for a lower price.
