This technical approach fails to recognise the common practice of shared IP addresses, leading to the blocking of legitimate websites alongside those genuinely involved in piracy. For example, the system mistakenly blocked access to Google Drive and YouTube caches, highlighting the collateral damage inflicted on innocent parties. The situation has prompted calls for a reevaluation of the law's framework, advocating for greater transparency, accountability, and a shift towards addressing the root causes of piracy rather than relying on blunt blocking tools.
