On August 28, 2003, 46-year-old Brian Wells walked into a PNC bank in Erie, PA, walked up to a teller, grabbed a lollipop, and demanded $250,000 in cash. Just 15 minutes after robbing them bank, Brian was apprehended by state troopers. Upon his arrest, police realized Brian was armed with a collar bomb. Twenty minutes after his arrest, the bomb went off, killing Brian instantly. Authorities spent the next 7 years piecing evidence together on what transpired the day of the bank heist, and who the mastermind was behind the entire scheme.
