Many know the encouraging words from Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

These words are full of hope and inspiration about God's plan to give us hope and a future. But knowing these words in the context of when they are given and the story surrounding them further expands our understanding of the goodness of God and the greatness of His plan for us.
