Starting life in a biodynamic and organic family and with a hunger for learning (and a dislike of Palmerston North) Findal found himself at Lincoln University studying all things soil.

Once deep into his studies, Findal had learned all about chemistry and Physics but very little about biology. 

With his upbringing allowing him to understand complex living systems, Findal wanted more from his studies. 

He started to focus more on the questions than the answers.

He learned that learning was so much more than accolades and qualifications, it was to him about letting go of ego and embracing the un known. 

Findal has a passion for redefining research, science and culture.
