John 20:19-21
Definition: Mission is the divine activity of sending intermediaries to speak or do God’s will so that his purpose is furthered.

Once a person’s been going to church for five years, 90% of their friends are Christian.

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”

We go because Jesus came to us
Jesus came because He was sent
Jesus came to show us
Jesus came to serve
Jesus came to save
We go because Jesus compels us
Jesus compels us to labor
Jesus compels us to lighten
Jesus compels us to love
Jesus compels us to lead
We go because Jesus commissions us
The meaning of commission
The manner of our commission
We go because Jesus commands us
Jesus gives us a clear expectation
Jesus gives us an example to follow
Going Commitments
We go to invite our friends, family and neighbors to church
We go to share the faith with others
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
– Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

We grow through attendance of worship on a regular basis
We grow through being part of a small group or Sunday School Class
We grow through partnering together in prayer

We are called to give our tithe (10% to the general fund)
We are called to give our time
We are called to give our talents
Go
We are called to go by inviting friends, family and neighbors to church
We are called to go by sharing our faith with others
