You as the hired Master of Ceremonies are neither the host of the event, nor the reason a ticket was purchased. If this comes as a shock, I explain everything in this session of “MC with MEi: The PodCourse” We've all witnessed this; the wedding emcee, the DJ, the office funny person asked to play this role, and yes, sometimes even the actual "talent" who is in place to facilitate the agenda from the podium; they tend to think that with a mic, it's time for prepared anecdotes, inside jokes, backhanded remarks and stories that go on without any regard for flow, timing, or general over-all audience interest. For YOU in this session, I make it plain; for YOU the event coordinator or Committee Chair; I make it crystal clear what you should be looking for.
