Do not quench the Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 5:19).

Resisting the Holy Spirit is terribly dangerous because it so easily leads to total rejection of the Holy Spirit, which is the sin God can never forgive. It is passing the point of no return. Since the Holy Spirit is the only agency given to bring us to conviction, if we permanently reject Him, our case is thereafter hopeless. 
Do no grieve the Holy Spirit my friends for Ephesians 4:30 says, "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." There is truly a point of no return. Confess your sins now for He is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins and to cleanse you of all unrighteousness. Remember, if you do not confess your sins, they will remain unforgiven.
