Text: John 5:1-17 (Morning Service) Speaker: Peter Mason “I need a break.” How many times have you thought that to yourself this week? Maybe you’re waiting for a summer holiday or day-dreaming about the easier days of childhood or quietly coveting the life of your dog sleeping in the sunlight. Rest is not easy to come by these days, even when the schedules are open and the sun is shining. Today we see Jesus’ 3rd sign as he heals on the sabbath day – a day of rest.
