2 Corinthians 4:8-9Amplified Bible (AMP)
8 We are pressured in every way [hedged in], but not crushed; perplexed [unsure of finding a way out], but not driven to despair;9 hunted down and persecuted, but not deserted [to stand alone]; struck down, but never destroyed;
To all you Neighbors visiting with us on #ThePorch today I just have one question to ask you: Have you ever experienced trouble? If you have this is the Podcast message for you. If you haven't I hate to bust your bubble, but you will. So even for you, this is the Podcast message for you too. Now for many of you the tendency will be to get stuck on the first part of the message title; Against All Odds. We would that you entertain the knowledge that the most important part of the message to focus on is to Keep Going. You can stop. You can quit. But if you want to get to your next destination, your next location, your next level, your destiny stopping (and quiting) are not options. You will have to seek to understand what the situation or the circumstance does mean for your life (your children's life; your family's life) and exactly what it does not mean. As clearly proven by the above Scripture it does not mean your final end. You may be wounded or disappointed but you will be able to continue on in your Life Journey. In the case of our Neighbor2Neighbor Guest, Jennifer K and perhaps many of you too, this becomes even more important when it is tied to the lives and destinies of our Children. Neighbor Jennifer K is the Creator of Positive Parenting Specialized. As the loving Mother of Four Cuties, she has experienced all that the above Scripture adheres to at one point or another.
Are you pressured in every way? Have you received diagnosis or reports in your life or your children's lives that have left you feeling hedged in or perhaps hopeless? Have any of you ever felt like there was no answer to your circumstances? Are you at your ropes end? So many people tend to let adversity stop them from being able to keep moving forward You have to know that tests bring about testimonies. Sometimes you learn that you go through the circumstance to be the catalyst for changes to be made for GOD to get The Glory. During tonight's PorchTalk conversation, you will learn that trouble does not have the last say so.
We want you to take a moment to breathe. We want you to not become paralyzed in your problems. We want you to rethink your perspective about your situations.
