Great book about pottery
This is one of my favorite pottery books to ready to students during art class.
Juan is a phenomenal artist and this story is so well written!
I'm also amazed at how quickly the book was delivered!
Fast service
Good story for children about ceramics and Mexican potters. Fast service.
Worth reading & sharing
Great story about Casas Grandes and Mata Ortiz pottery in Chihuahua, Mexico. Wish it was bilingual or there was a Spanish version. too.
great read x2
two stories in this book - a poem with a corresponding technical & historical description. as a potter myself (pre-kids) I am looking forward to showing them how to build pots like juan, using the book as our guide.
Clay Changed the Community
A beautiful pictorial look at pottery art in Mexico. The connection that Juan has to pottery and nature is shown in the book. I liked the afterward that gives readers more background information about Juan and the pottery making process he used. I enjoyed the illustrations that show how Juan used natural elements surrounding him to create his art.
