Fear is the most powerful of human emotions, utilized by institutions, governments and salesmen over decades to persuade the population, either to follow guidance or to justify actions.
Why is this so powerful, how can we counter the use of fear? Should we trust institutions and not politicians? Fear is managed though evidence, seeking supporting information for claims, understanding that in the fullness of time there will be an accounting of causes, but for the immediacy, what do I know, what do I not know and where do I find the information to fill the knowledge gap.
