The gospel of Mark chapter 9 beginning at verse 21, “So He asked his father, ‘How long has this been happening to him?’ And he said, ‘from childhood.’ And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.’ Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.’“
God has power to bring back that which has been lost, and this power is shown all throughout the bible; from the widow at Nain, Lazarus in the tomb, the women who lost her virtue, disciples who had lost their direction, their strength, and their sense of well-being. He has the power to speak and command life and freedom to come back again. It begins with our speaking to Him. The father of the child said, “Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.”
