Ariel's Suggestions for Self-Care for Symptoms of Depression:
Step A: First of all, make sure you are getting enough Vitamin D. I am not a nutritionist, but there are many articles out there sharing information on Vitamin D deficiency, especially during the fall and winter months.
Step B: Get enough exercise, which for most adults, is 5 sessions of exercise a week.
Step C: Get proper overall nutrition.
Step D: Consider using full-spectrum lighting for at least 15 minutes a day, especially in the fall and winter months.
Step E: Talk with friends or your therapist when you are having emotional challenges or negative thoughts.
And now to the protocol:
Step 1: Ground and Centre yourself.
Step 2: Rub your hands together to generate Chi and imagine you are also creating a Violet Flame between your hands.  The Violet Flame will help you transmute any negative energy released into positive energy. Visualize using your hands to pass the Violet Flame from your head to your toes, imagining that it transmutes negative energy and clears you.
Step 3: Pass Rainbow Sparkly Light with your hands, moving from your head to your toes. This positive energy charges you with all needed color frequencies. Color therapy is a real modality--it has been used for hundreds of years to treat various health issues in hospitals and other environments. When you visualize color charging your body and energy system, it helps counteract the effects of having depression, which can be incredibly draining.
Step 4: Touch your "positive points" on your forehead between your eyebrows and hairline, and then tug the skin upward. This activates these neuro-emotional points to elevate mood.
Step 5: Consider using aromatherapy, especially oils in the citrus family like orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, neroli or bergamot or petitgrain (if you are not allergic), and mix one or more of them with clary sage, which has an elevating effect on the emotions.
Step 6: Tap your Elegant Mansion or K-27 points--these points are just on the outside of the sternum and below the collar bones in the chest. Tapping these points strengthens immune function and relieves breathing difficulties, chest congestion, asthma, coughing, anxiety, and depression.
Step 7: Think of whatever thoughts and feelings you need to release and let go of.
Breathe deeply and ground any of these thoughts or feelings you are releasing into the Earth.
Step 8: Hold your positive points again and say, "I move forward with ease and grace, I move forward with ease and grace, I move forward with ease and grace." Visualize yourself taking whatever your next step is--whether it is getting out of bed, having a conversation to clear up an issue, going to work out, or taking an action to resolve a challenge.
Step 9: Tap the outside edges of your hands together (the pinky side) and say, "Even though I am feeling this feeling, I completely love and accept myself, Even though I am feeling this feeling, I completely love and accept myself, Even though I am feeling this feeling, I completely love and accept myself."
Step 10: If you have lavendar essential oil, inhale it for at least 10 seconds. Then rub your hands together for at least 30 seconds to stimulate all of the reflex areas for your entire body.  Say, "I learn from all of life's experiences.
Step 11: Walk in place for about 30 seconds, visualizing the relaxation and shifts in how you are feeling integrating into your energy anatomy system and physical body.  Take time to notice how much better you feel!
