Welcome back to another episode of the Captains Coach Podcast. I am the founder, Ben Smith, and we have another awesome episode in store for you. Today we have brought on one of the foremost experts in the information environment, Major Shawn Chenoweth, as we continue our military series and focus on behavioral change from thought leaders in the space. Major Chenoweth has almost 20 years of experience leading large initiatives related to information operations and behavior change for the US GOVT and Military. He has directly supported efforts in every Combatant Command AOR, Joint Task Forces, and the Department of State. He is also highly educated in deception and unconventional warfare. If you are one of our soldiers who listens in, it will be obvious to see the value that this will bring. For the sports community that we have, I think there are two primary takeaways. For athletes, I think this interview gives you a taste of the reality of the war raging around you. There is a war for your attention, engagement, and core beliefs. Information is paramount in behavior change and can have an impact on the way you perform and the kind of mindset that you bring to your every day life. For coaches, the takeaway is very similar. As you should always be on the look-out for competitive advantages, this will hopefully act as a catalyst to help you think differently about your approaches to leading your team. It is a great conversation full of a lot of wisdom. So, without further ado, here is Major Shawn Chenoweth.
