INTPs can have an interesting relationship with their introverted thinking. It's really easy to convince ourselves that we won't need anyone or that we don't care when ultimately connection is what we want. The problem with not caring is that it's often a dismissal of the problem at hand. It's more of a "I don't want to deal with it" than it is about not caring. We care, most of the time, we just don't know what to do. And I think the acknowledgement that you do care as a way of being honest with yourself is an important step in the direction of emotional literacy and self-improvement.
