The Power of Three Days

Listen Later

Acts 9:1-18

In this chapter, we read about Saul's conversion and how the Lord transformed his life. He went from being a persecutor of the church to becoming a key member of it.
Jesus spoke to Saul on the road to Damascus, and as a result, Saul became blind for three days, during which he neither ate nor drank. It was then that a servant of the Lord named Ananias came to restore his sight.
This illustrates that Jesus can work in the hearts of those who initially oppose Him, changing their life trajectories from being enemies of the cross to becoming followers of it. In just three days, Jesus changed Saul’s life, much like He worked in Jonah's heart in that short time. During these three days, Saul engaged in prayer, demonstrating his transformation.
God had a mission for Saul to influence the hearts of Gentiles, kings, and Jews to embrace the faith. Likewise, we also have a mission; we must work on our hearts so we can speak to others about Jesus. Perhaps in three days, we too will see the fruits of our labor.
