The Mandate of Unity:

The Benefits of a Unified Body:

Effective Operations: The Spirit flows most freely where there is no friction between the members.
To preserve the glory of God in our midst, we must aggressively guard against these seven distractions:
Gossip: The root of division. We must choose to speak in love, mind our own business, and use words that only serve to uplift.
Complaining: A thief of morale. The antidote to a complaining spirit is the intentional cultivation of gratitude.
Offense: Bitterness creates distance and hinders the glory. We must be quick to extend grace, choose forgiveness, and pursue reconciliation.
Pride: Often invisible to the person carrying it. A proud heart disrupts harmony, while a teachable, humble spirit restores it.
Fault-Finding: This promotes a culture of blame. Instead of criticizing, we are called to offer constructive feedback and encourage growth.
Prolonged Infancy: Spiritual immaturity leads to unstable conditions. We must move toward maturity by being doers of the word and taking responsibility.
Isolation: A dangerous form of pride disguised as maturity. True maturity does not isolate; it associates, mentors, and admonishes.
Maturity is measured by how well we connect, not how well we detach. To see the dynamic transformation of the church, we must preserve the system of unity at all costs—protecting our hearts from offense and our tongues from gossip.
