In this message, Bishop Malcolm speaks about the significance of a name. According to Bishop Malcolm, during the patriarchal period, the naming of a child was a secret ceremony and a prophetic declaration over that child's life and destiny. Bishop Malcolm also went on to say, our name is our self-concept and story. Therefore, when God changes our names, it is a psychological operation, for us to begin calling,  and thinking of ourselves in a new way.  He is not just changing a sound, He is changing our beliefs about ourselves, beliefs such as the way we speak about ourselves, the way we present ourselves to others and the way we required others to think about us.
