Excellent review of bold decisions of the past and how they apply to todya.

A book of philosophy as well as history, The Powerful Entrepreneur is a tour through the past to learn how decisions of the old world hold value today. From China to America to the Roman Empire, this book is a reminder that we should never give up the tools of historical precedent when thinking about decisions today and is a plea to make sure we don't degrade our knowledge as we move forward in history. A worthwhile read for anyone, regardless of self-ideology.

A fun and informing read.

I bought the eBook upon launch and was excited when i saw the cover. I am a big fan of history and am currently working on my CFA license. I figured that this book was right up my alley. Right now I am about half way through the book and I am definitely going to finish this one within the next few days. It is the right length for my busy schedule and the chapters are quick enough to become immersed and conclude fast enough for me to have solid actionable take aways right away. I will say that some of the chapters seem a little out of place with the others, I am sure that the author planned this. In fact having an Edgar Allen Poe chapter right after a chapter on war and glory was actually a nice break from the military stuff. In either case I have really enjoyed this book and have received some great business advice directly from the book to use in my financial advisory business. In fact there was a chapter on diseconomies of scale, a topic that always went right over my head. This book explained it in a way that made me understand and enjoy the topic far more than i ever did in college.

I was a part of the pre-launch for this book on social media, I was asked to write a review if I ever got a around to actually reading the book. Normally, I would read the book and forget all about writing the review. This book was different.

I own dozens of business and start-up books and wish I had this one at the beginning of my career as a retail small business owner.
