At his heaviest, David Fennell saw 573 on the scale. Today, he’s knocking out strict pull-ups and training with a CrossFit crew that helped pull him out of the darkest stretch of his life. This episode takes you inside one of the most difficult — and eye-opening — weeks of my life. In just a few days, I went from grieving the loss of my cousin after her 10-month battle with an inoperable brain tumor… to standing at my brother’s wedding. Grief to celebration. Loss to new beginnings. And in the middle of all of it, I was forced to confront some powerful lessons about life, legacy, and how quickly time can slip away.

I break down the raw truths I walked away with: that life is not only short but deeply unfair, that legacy is measured in impact not income, that life doesn’t stop no matter how much we wish it would, and that sometimes the best way to honor someone is to finish the dreams they couldn’t.
