I was standing in my kitchen when the notification came through.

And something happened in my body—a surge of energy that started in my chest and radiated outward. Not excitement, exactly. Something deeper.
Recognition.
Because I know what meditation has done for me. And I know what it can do for you.
The Morning That Changed Everything
There was a time when I couldn’t see a way forward.
Despair had wrapped itself around me like a fog. Depression made every day feel like wading through concrete. And disillusionment? That was the worst part—the sense that nothing I did mattered, that I was just going through motions in a life I didn’t recognize.
Then I started meditating.
Not because I believed it would work. But because I had to change my interior world.
Every morning, I would sit. My mind would race. My body would resist. But I kept showing up.
And slowly—so slowly I almost didn’t notice—something shifted.
As my mind settled into stillness, a powerful sense of something greater would enter my consciousness. Not as a thought, but as a presence.
I began to realize: I am not here by accident.
My life’s trajectory shifted from victim hood to creator. That shift lifted me out of the dark hole I had created, and suddenly I could see my life from a deeper perspective.
I came back to my Self.
The power of meditation dispels the veils of illusion and reveals who you really are—an individual aspect of Divine Love.
I took the next step
Meditation became my lifeline and my anchor. The daily practice ingrained a deeper knowing about my place in the world.
I became a certified meditation teacher in 2018, and have never looked back. Whenever I feel inspired to create a new meditation, I allow that loving energy to flow through me as the words pour out. Sometimes, I don’t know what I spoke about until after I listen to the recording and add the background music!
What If It’s Not As Hard As You Think?
Meditation isn’t hard unless you decide it is.
If you’ve tried meditation before and it didn’t stick, that doesn’t mean you failed. It only means the timing wasn’t right, or you weren’t ready.
All it takes is two things: intention and attention.
Set an intention to meditate first thing in the morning, right after taking care of your personal needs. As you add one day to the next, you’ll notice you can pay attention a little longer. Your mind will wander less. The stillness will feel more natural.
Soon, this practice becomes a habit. And then, a lifeline.
I haven’t missed a daily meditation since 2017.
It has become an essential part of my life, not just because it centers me, but because I use it to set the energy of my entire day. This morning, for example, I was so filled with gratitude that I found myself dancing as the sun broke the horizon. Other days, I’m filled with love that spills over to everyone I meet—the barista, the grocery clerk, the stranger in the parking lot.
The Commitment That Changes Everything
Here’s the truth: it’s one thing to say, “I’ll try it.”
It’s quite another to commit.
Continuing the practice when you don’t see immediate results is part of the journey. A leap of faith may be necessary before you see evidence that your meditation time is healing you.
But it will. I promise.
