There are four chapters and ninety five verses in Paul’s letter to the church at Colosse. They focus a strong argument against Gnosticism, on the one hand, and legalism on the other.

To counter false doctrine, Paul turns the focus on Jesus Christ. He lifts Jesus high above all man-made wisdom and effort. There is no one like Jesus. There is no one comparable Jesus. There is certainly no one above Jesus. He is above all.
