I spoke with Matt Smith this week about the new book he’s published along with Doug Casey and his son, Maxim. It’s called The Preparation: How to Become Competent, Confident and Dangerous.

We don’t discuss investing. This is something much more important. The Preparation presents a radical alternative to college, founded on classical wisdom and Doug’s ideas about living with freedom. It’s so good… full of resources for learning skills like welding, flying a plane, building a house, self-defence, cooking plus a rigorous academic program.

As homeschoolers, this is definitely the approach we’re going to take to higher education when our kids reach college age.
