God preserved His Word for several reasons: 1. To make Himself known. 2. To make salvation known to sinners. 3. To strengthen our faith in Him. 4. For His own glory. Psalm 138.2, the Psalmist says: 'I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name'. God has magnified His Word above His name. Let us treasure it, believe it, obey it, and share it—all for the glory of God.
