In this episode I talk with Adam Garcia, the Art Director, Designer, and Illustrator behind his studio The Pressure.
After studying at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, Adam worked at Rhymesayers, 160over90, and Nike. His expertise includes illustration, event coordination, branding, packaging design. Adam is also an adjunct faculty member at Portland State University and host of the Amazing Stumptown Spelling Bee.
We spoke about the winding road to a career and the unforseen benefits and opportunities that arise from being vague. Titles denote expertise, but can also limit the type of things you create.
