Take your dog put him out in the yard with a nice collar, plenty of water, food always for him to easily access. Yet there are times when you know that in the mind of this dog the length of rope you have to prevent him from wondering into the neighbor-s yard is too short. Try as he will many times as if he thinks he can go further today than yesterday it never works. So Day after day he decides to accept his circumstances at least for a short while. He learns because his master is teaching him boundaries.--As parents your children are no different. They will test you they will try you. They will test the boundaries. But just as you would not let your dog wonder lose all the time you will set boundaries for your children am I right- Why is this- It of course is for their protection, as well to teach them right and wrong correct- Any truly loving parent will have to go even though it may seem at times to take a beating themselves when they must punish there child. Yes sometimes it hurts you does it not to have to dish out punishment upon our children. But what is it we will be doing if we just let them go doing whatever whenever they want- Trust me it would be most tragic for the parent and the child.
