Hebrews 7

It is evident from Scripture that Jesus is from the tribe of Judah; how therefore does He come to be the supreme and perfect High Priest? As the writer of Hebrews explains, God promised a different order of priesthood, not a fleshly order, not an order that belongs to the law, but the order that belongs to a new covenant, the covenant of grace, of whom Melchizedek is the shadow, and Jesus is a reality.
