As we look at the ninth commandment, which says that you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor, it really addresses the principle of honesty. Implicit within this command is that there is to be truthfulness in every area of life. We all have a nature of sin and a propensity towards dishonesty. The problem of lying is not in our lips, it’s about 12 inches lower… it’s in our hearts.
