The sixth commandment says, “You shall not murder.” Jesus took the action of murder and He spoke about the attitude behind it which is anger. He said if you have anger in your heart, you are violating this commandment and you’re in danger of judgment. What Jesus is doing is lifting this commandment out of a technicality and He’s showing the principle behind it has to do with anger in your heart towards other people.
