Those who receive God's salvation are born into God's kingdom. As Jesus said, "you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world" (John 15:19). Now, we find ourselves as sojourners in a lost and dying world. Jesus closed his exhortation of encouragement with these words, "But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

Anyone in Christ possesses a God-given freedom unknown to this world. This world reflects a freedom that often leads to slavery. All those in Christ have the blessing of the gospel that leads to freedom. God used Paul to write the message of salvation for anyone willing to receive it. Paul wrote, "Jesus gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age" (Galatians 1:4). All those so rescued may now live in the privilege of God's freedom paid in full by Jesus Christ.
