Moses achieved so much that he almost seems super-human to us. And yet, he failed. In his letter to the Hebrews, the author has a tricky task: He isn't trying to take Moses down from his pedestal. But he wants us to look much, much higher - away from the servant of God, and toward the Son. Moses symbolizes an approach to God that ultimately can't work, because of our sinful hearts.
