On this Independence Day weekend the patriotic spirit was evident as the congregation of Brainerd Baptist Church thanked the Lord for the blessings of America. The church membership sang the National Anthem, The Battle Hymn of the Republic and My Country Tis of Thee. The choir then sang a stirring rendition of America the Beautiful.
Dr. McIntyre then spoke on the problems of morality in government in the days of Jeremiah the prophet and the similar problems America was facing in that present day and how Christians can share their faith and trust in the Lord.
