In honor of Presidents Day, this week we focus on some little known presidential stories and unsavory factoids about our great leaders. Nydia shares with us the story of our first unofficial female president, Edith Wilson. Dana tells us about our first “White Trash” president, his rise to the White House, his adultering wife, and the worst gift to get when one doesn’t have refrigeration. For dinner, Nydia tries her hand at a presidential recipe right out of president Bush senior’s kitchen. Dana incorporates cheddar cheese into her dessert by making cheddar and apple muffins. We shared Kendall-Jackson sauvignon blanc which had a light and crisp taste and went well with the salty dishes.
