When Cephas [Peter] came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned.

Galatians 2:11

because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group.

Why We Are Prone to Performance-Based Faith:

• Fear of judgment from others

• Lack of trust in grace

Consequences of Performance-Based Faith:

• Increases Alienation

• Breeds Hypocrisy

• Confuses New Believers

• Disillusions Outsiders

• Devalues the Sacrifice of Christ

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
