Sometimes in asian families the pressure to meet cultural familial and societal expectations are intense. Doing your own thing can be seen as betrayal. This contrast of individual agency and choice can make it hard to honour your needs and wants in life. This idea of ‘chasing your dreams’ or following your passion sounds great but often in reality is just frustrating. I’m joined by Blogger Saloni Miglani to discuss what chasing your dreams actually mean.
