The process of faith- Anxiety

Listen Later

Our Abraham series continues. This episode covers the life of Abraham. Now age 100. We continue on the TIMELINE FOR ABRAM (ABRAHAM), the man, the places he moved to and why, what happened when he got there, the people he interacted with, and the results of those interactions. Abraham is revered by many of the world's religions and is  known to Christians as the "Father of Faith." We continue our study on Abraham. Abraham and Sarah received their promised son. In this episode, we begin our sidebar in the book of Romans to see precisely how they did it using faith—The principles of not focusing on the present circumstances and focusing on your statement of faith and worshiping  God. Romans 4:19-20. Incorporating these principles to get what you want from God, you know that promise, is essential. First, you need to understand what they are. As leaders in the church, we have failed to teach God's revealed word. We teach the traditions and not revelation, simply because we have become lazy and too busy to seek revelation from the Holy Spirit. The bible tells us that he will show us all things. I invite you to come and partake of revelation from the  Holy Spirit taken from the life of Abraham, the father of faith. Principle of not focusing on the present circumstances and focusing on your statement of faith and worshiping God. Romans 4:19-20. Today I talk about the flesh and the carnal mind, its meaning, and how to conquer it.

Today I talk about anxiety what it really means and how to conquer it. ANXIETY: da’ag (verb: anxious); deagah (noun: anxiety). (Strong’s 1672, 1674). ANXIOUS/DISQUIETING THOUGHTS: sar’af (noun). (Strong’s 8312). Root: דָּאַג (da’ag). Root: שַׂרְעַף (sar’af).

Matthew 6:25-34 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Philippians 4:6-8 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
