Ashraf El-Hinnawi, MD, and Georgios Vrakas, MD, MSc, PhD, FRCS, are directors of UF Health’s pancreas transplant program, focusing on performing 15 to 20 transplants annually for selected patients, primarily those with type 1 diabetes and end-stage renal disease.
