Join us this Advent season as we explore how to discover Jesus in the ancient story of redemption and how God has been weaving Jesus and His coming throughout the whole of history!
Christmas is one of those holidays that is rich in tradition. We hang our lights, put up a tree, and bake our favorite cookies. Some begin these traditions right after Thanksgiving, others as soon as November arrives, and a few wait until Christmas Eve, but all of these rhythms signal to our hearts that Christmas has come.
Long before these traditions existed, God gave His people signs of a far greater promise. Throughout the Old Testament, the Lord spoke through His prophets, announcing the coming Messiah who would redeem His people, free them from the captivity of sin, and fulfill His covenant promises. Each prophecy reminded Israel that God had not forgotten them—that He was actively working in history to accomplish salvation.
During this Advent season, a time of waiting and expectation, we will explore these Old Testament promises and see how they find their fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ. As we do, we will discover how these ancient promises still offer each of us the hope, peace, joy, and love that are ours in Him.
