Welcome to part one of a brand new series, The Promises in Pain. During this series, we will be exploring the life of Job and learning biblical truths about what pain is and is not. 

Part one deals with the fact that God doesn't use pain to punish us. The Bible clearly states in Job chapter one that God was extremely pleased with Job's character and integrity. So much so that He trusted Job to be tested. 

But how do we reconcile our pain with the truth of God's Word? How do we see beyond what is right in front of us to gain a heavenly perspective?
