A critical question for followers of the prosperity gospel is, “Did Jesus indicate that the outcome of His death, burial, and resurrection would be vast wealth, health, and a life devoid of suffering?” Indeed, a significant question to help them differentiate between the true gospel and the prosperity gospel. Jesus’ own words to His disciples are: “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world” (John 16:33).
