Colin Stokes MBE is the indefatigable founder and honorary chairman of the Prostate Project, a charity established in 1998 and dedicated to improving the experience and outcomes for men with prostate cancer. Based at the University of Surrey and closely linked to the Royal Surrey Hospital, it has made a significant impact on both research and patient experience with prostate cancer. In this interview Colin emphasises the importance of localism and focus in the work of his charity, and demonstrates how this approach has helped to establish the Royal Surrey and the Stokes Centre for Urology as a world-class centre of excellence in prostate cancer research and practice.
